The Body Knows
Summer has a funny way of making us think we should be doing more.
More trips. More BBQs. More adventures. More memories.
While all of that can be wonderful, it's also easy to stay so busy that we forget to check in with the one person who's with us through it all...
Our body.
Have you noticed that after a stressful time your neck feels tight, your back aches, your digestion feels "off," or you wake up tired even after a full night's sleep?
It's easy to think your body is letting you down.
But what if it's actually trying to protect you?
As an Osteopath and Mind-Body Coach, I've learned that the body is incredibly intelligent. Stress doesn't just affect our thoughts—it influences how we breathe, move, sleep, and where we hold tension.
Our bodies are always communicating. We just don't always take the time to listen.
So this week, as you enjoy the summer, I have a simple invitation:
Take two minutes.
Step outside if you can. Leave your phone behind. Breathe gently through your nose and ask yourself:
Where am I holding tension today?
Don't judge it. Don't fix it. Just notice.
Awareness is often the first step toward feeling better.
This Friday, July 3rd, I'll be releasing a new YouTube video exploring how stress shows up in the body and the patterns I commonly see as an osteopath.

And if you have a question about your body, stress, movement, or health, send it in! It could be featured on my podcast, The Body Knows with Jennifer.

Until next week,
With love,
