Facing the Fear of Love ❤️

October is a month of reflection, change, and noticing the cycles in our own hearts. Lately, I’ve been reflecting on a fear that quietly shapes our relationships: the fear of love — of being loved, and of loving ourselves fully.

This fear often shows up in subtle ways: hesitating to open our hearts, questioning if we’re worthy of love, or holding back in relationships. From a mind-body perspective, it can even manifest physically — tension in the chest, shoulders, or back — areas where we carry grief, heartbreak, or self-doubt.

In my work supporting clients through cancer prevention and recovery, I see how powerful self-love and body awareness can be in transforming not just emotional health but physical well-being. By noticing where fear shows up in your body and responding with care, you can begin to release tension, open your heart, and cultivate the love you deserve.

Coaching Tip: Take a moment today to check in with yourself: Where do you feel resistance in your body when thinking about love? What small act of self-love can you offer yourself that reminds you you are worthy of love — exactly as you are?
